Everyone should be taking pictures

As a photographer, I love pictures and feel that everyone should be taking good to great photos.

This picture was taken with a very long zoom lens from far away and that causes the background to be out of focus and makes the subject very clear.

Pictures make people smile

Whenever you see two or more people looking together at the back of a camera, they are almost always smiling.  Not that fake smile that you get when you tell people to smile for the camera, but a 100% genuine smile.

Being happy is healthy among many other good things and I believe that photos add something special to our life.

This photo would have been better if there were less people and things in the background but sometimes you just get the picture that you can get.

Help with the Ark

This little guy’s mother was a stray that I rescued.   Most of the dogs that I have owned are or were rescue dogs and on behalf of all the strays out there I want to thank all of the people who work so hard to look out for them and also thank those that take them in.

At the Lion Castle Ark Christmas Market I worked with Jean Ray and took pictures of the agility display and anyone who wanted those pictures could download them and make a donation to the Ark.

It’s not perfect method but it did make some money.  Anyone who wants to work with me with something like that or an improvement of it let me know.

Photo tip - look at your subject from different angles

Quite often the first view of a subject is not the best.  Move around, change things, take lots of pictures, and look at it from different angles.

Your first thought may have been the best one but maybe not.

We found this little fellow on the beach and played around with him for just a little while, these are two of the pictures that we got.

I take family and special event pictures

When you hire me to take pictures, I don’t want it to be because you are not good at taking pictures.

I want you to hire me because you want to be sure to get great pictures and you don’t want to take them yourself or have to humbug the guests at your event, either during the event or after.

Or

You are usually behind the camera and you don’t have pictures with you in them.

We should all have pictures to look back at to remember the special times, people, pets and also things in our lives.
